Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1429.
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1429.

I am still working this week eventhough most of my family members are back to the hometown for raya :(

Despite the shortage of the new notes for "duit raya" especially the RM5 notes, I managed to get this new duit raya notes from RHB bank - thanks to the customer focused personalised attention that they promised me earlier on('',). These duit raya will be given to the kids as well as children of my relatives, freinds and colleagues during raya celebration.

Will bring this back home when I balik kampung on raya's eve.

It's the last weekend before raya :)

l got this raya hampers from my freind & shoping spree over the weekend. As usual, raya cookies and other goodies are bundled up in the hamper but I am suprised to find a neck tie also included in the hampers from my freind.

Anyway, thanks for the thought.

Bird's eye view of the fame Bazaar Ramadhan at Jalan TAR.

Even though it is just at my backyard, I hardly venture there since I can's stand the crowd and noise. This does not means that I don't go to pasar malam like this or only shopping in the malls, but the madness at BaRam TAR is something that I can't really tolerate.

No doubtthe traders there offer a variety of goods andsome of which you can get at a bargain, themadness there really turn me off. There's greedy traders who'll block the way, used hailer loudlyand play raya songs to the full volume, the big crowd, the noise, the traffic jam caused by unscruplous drivers and of course the aftermath - rubbish thrown everywhere.Early morning, BaRam TAR is like a war zone to me...

Despite being close to Masjid India, the crowds there seem more intrested to shop then going to the mosque for the night prayers. Thanks God this only happen once a year but I do hope that the madness there will be stoped - BaRam TAR should be better organised in the future.

Good news - l finaly managed to get the Giorgio Armani watch from Robinsons :)

Been busy lately...

Have to buka puasa today at the office - something I rarely do during Ramadhan. Luckily, my colleague Mawi was also working late today soI got company for buka puasa. We bought our food at the nearby stalls in the office and reheated the mealfor buka puasa.

Well, buka puasa at the offcie is not that bad after all.

Attended a meeting at noon today - sandwhiches served there are so enticing, more so since l missed sahur this morning ;)

The host at the meeting were sensitive enough to me, he apologised for having to serve the meals though I think that the apology is not necessary. However, I was kinda pissed off with a fellow moslem who was also at the meeting and proudly declared he did not fast today ("I am a bad moslem") and ate the sandwhich without any guilt feeling - duh!

Went to Masjid Al Bukhari for buka puasa & prayers tonight.

It's dusk, almost maghrib & buka puasa time when l reached there. This is my first time at the mosque even though "mosque hoping" is my routineduring Ramadhan. Ialways pass by the mosque before and see how its changed from a small surau into a beautiful mosque, thanks to thegenerousity of the Al Bukhari foundation.

After terawih, off to Bukit Bintang for some shopping at Pavillion.

Another buffet Ramadan for me.

Again, it's not that I purposely went there for my buka puasa since I don't really like the idea of having buffet for buka puasa - its too commercialised. I was there because I have to work at an exhibition in KL Convention Centre over the weekend. Since the Ramadhan Buffet there is the closest palce where the exhibition was held, I decided to go there for conveneince sake.

As usual, the food for the buffet is more than waht you can stomach - lavish selection but the taste just normal, not something out of this world. However, I like the way this buffet Ramadhan is being organsied - there were nasyid/traditional songs played gambus players before Maghrib. Whne time come for buka puasa & maghrib, there was a muazzinwho hited the "beduk" and say the adzan (call for prayer) tosignify its time for buka puasa and maghrib prayer. It does not stop there. There were also Maghrib, Isyak and Terawih prayers lead by an imam at asurau there as well.

This is really a buffet Ramadhan with a different, thumbs up to KL Convention Centre for organising this.
